    Cote Dame Marie Loppet and Hanson Hills Classic are presented by The Grayling Recreation Authority. This exciting Nordic Skiing Adventure will take you through the scenic hardwood trails of Hanson Hills Recreation Area, located in Grayling, Michigan.
    • Michigan Cup Point Races: Men 30K & Women's 15K Skate Races
    • Non-Points Races: Citizens Men & Women's Skate Races; Citizens Men & Women's Classic Races
    • Location: Hanson Hills Recreation Area three (3) miles west of Grayling.
    • Course: Rolling Terrain. Wide skate lanes and double set track.
    • Awards: Overall Awards for each division and Age Group awards in each division. Awards Banquet Luncheon.

    The Noquemanon attracts thousands of skiers who take the 51K or 25K trek from Ishpeming to Marquette’s Superior Dome. Along the way, they experience the Upper Peninsula’s famed pristine wilderness: hard and soft wood forests, many rock outcroppings, lake crossings, bird’s eye views of rivers and Lake Superior, plentiful snowfall, a waterfall, and a 1000-foot net descent. The marathon and half marathon offer separate classic and freestyle races with men’s and women’s divisions, as well as 1k, 3k and 5k Junior Races. Classic tracks and skating lanes are provided through the entire course.

    The North American Vasa  As part of the Vasa weekend festival of Races, there will be two special classic skiing races that will be part of the Michigan cup series. The Sunday events will be offered by Hagerty Insurance. The Gran Travers will feature both 6k and 16k challenging loop courses that will capture the rich heritage of traditional cross-country skiing at it's finest.  There is also a youth event, the Jr Vasa with 1km and 3km races.

    The American Birkebeiner  This is America's largest cross country ski race.  The main event is a 51K race that attracts the world's best professional nordic skiers.  Other events include the Birkie Circle Image Kortelopet (23K), Prince Haakon (12K), and the Junior Birkie (3.5K).  Each year there are around 9,000 racers and 22,000 spectators. This is your chance to enjoy a competition with your whole family, while rubbing shoulders with pro's from around the world.

    The Annual Wabos Loppet  begins with a scenic hour-long train ride from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario to the lumbering village of Wabos. At Wabos, skiers begin an uninterrupted 27 KM (16 mile) cross country course that leads through the woods, over two lakes and several beaver ponds to Sheppard Lake, where tea and oranges are served. The rest of the course is on groomed cross country trails leading to Norm's cabin at the edge of Bone Lake. There skiers will enjoy refreshments of tea and cookies. The last part of the trip takes participants to Stokely Creek Lodge for a festive celebratory barbecue.
